Congratulations Travis and Michelle! I'll admit we were definitely looking forward to this wedding a little extra than normal when we heard that it was going to be out at the Pozo Saloon. Neither Justin or I had even been out there before, so we didn't really know what to expect. It was so cool. It had a really fun western vintage vibe that had character around every corner. From the huge oak trees to the authentic vintage saloon bar to the licence plates on the walls...well done.

We had the privilege of working with Scott Muir of Muir Music (www.muirmusic.com) and Rhonda at The Pozo Saloon (www.pozosaloon.com). What a great group of vendors. We've actually been really fortunate this year with the high caliber of vendors we've worked with. Muir Music and Pozo Saloon are among the best!

JEFF AND JAMIE // WEDDING // AVILA BEACH, CA

Way to go Jamie for bringing "hand-crafted" to a new level! From the arrangements, to the guestbook, to the foot jewelry... Jamie had her personal touch on almost everything.

I actually met Jamie at the local bank where she works as a teller. I would go in week after week, and she would always make extra effort to strike up conversation. But how well can you really get to know someone in 30sec every other week?

So apparently, after a prolonged dating relationship, Jeff finally popped the question. And we are all so happy that he did. Jeff and Jamie are so cute together. And they surround themselves with amazing people. It's been a while since I've seen enthusiasm on the dance floor like I saw this weekend. Well done crew...well done (photos to come).

We also had the privilege of working with Sean Dasmann of AMS Entertainment (www.amsentertainment.com) and Megan at The Avila Bay Club (abac.caclubs.com). Megan was ready and available to handle anything and everything, and the reception ran so smoothly because of her and her team. And Sean is incredible. He kept the dance floor pumping all night, and he made an excellent host for the bride and groom's "newlywed game". Thanks for the smiles Sean!

TARYN AND EVAN // WEDDING VIDEO // SAN MIGUEL, CA

We were so blessed to be a part of Evan and Taryn's beautiful wedding last month. They are just the cutest, most in love couple you'll ever see. And what's cool too is that we were able to bring a video team with us. Open Door's very own Caleb Marmolejo and Josh Sparrow are not only brilliant photographers, but they are also quite gifted in videography as well. ERNIE AND DANIELLE // WEDDING TEASER // SAN MIGUEL, CA

I just want to say wow! This event was incredible. Ernie and Danielle, with the help of their wonderful friends and family, really know how to throw a party. And their attitude with the whole day was so relaxed and comfortable. I was inspired!

When Patrick and I (Clay) drove up to the Rolling Hills Ranch San Miguel this Saturday, we weren't really sure what to expect. All we knew was that we couldn't help but have an amazing time with this family. As soon as you start talking with these people, you immediately feel like you are a part of their family. So welcoming and so generous. And they transformed their historic family owned estate into an amazing vintage-chic paradise. They completely re-did one of their old red barns into an awesome reception site. Complete with hanging chandeliers, vintage appliances, twinkle lights, custom dance floor, and an incredible hand crafted bar. I was blown away.

We also had the incredible privilege of working with DJ Bob of Phase 1 (www.p1dj.com) and Laurel at Adornments Flowers (www.adornmentsflowers.com). These two are nothing close to your average vendors; they are absolutely world class. Laurel's handiwork brought a fresh and fun flair to all that surrounded it. And DJ Bob really knows how to keep the party going. Sure the guests were fun and energetic all on their own, but it takes a real DJ master to keep the dance floor pumping like he did (and always does - we love DJ Bob : ) Vendors like these make my job SO much easier.
